Trusted contractor referrals in Westchester County & Greenwich, CT
The tradespeople we would trust in our own homes.
We come see the house first, and the walk-through is free. Then we introduce you to a tradesperson we have worked beside for years, from Pleasantville to Greenwich.
Your house needs work. Hiring someone for it shouldn't be a gamble.
Who can you trust?
There are almost 9,000 licensed contractors in Westchester alone. A license tells you someone passed a background check, not that they do good work. Online reviews come from strangers.
We introduce only trades we have worked beside, in houses like yours.
Was it done right?
Once the crew packs up, it is hard to tell good work from work that only looks fine. A poor flashing detail or tile bed shows up a year later as a leak or a crack.
We follow up when every job finishes. If something looks off, we look at it with you.
Will they come back?
The job is done and paid for. Six months later something needs attention, and the contractor who was so responsive stops answering the phone.
Call us and we get them back out. Their place on our list depends on it.
Not a marketplace. A trusted name.
Lead sites sell your request to whoever pays for it. We come see the house, make one introduction, sometimes two, and stay with you after.

“Neighbors kept asking me who to call. This is that same favor, done carefully.”
I started as a carpenter, ran crews as a foreman, and now manage high-end residential projects across Westchester and Fairfield County. Along the way I have worked beside hundreds of tradespeople, and I know which ones I would trust in my own house.
I listen to what you need, introduce you to someone I know, and stay with you until the work is done right.

Hiring a contractor in Westchester, answered.
How do I find a trustworthy contractor in Westchester County?
Ask someone who has watched contractors work. Westchester has almost 9,000 licensed home improvement contractors, and a license only shows a contractor passed a background check. We introduce homeowners to tradespeople we have worked beside on real jobs, and we check every license and insurance certificate each year.
Is there a charge for homeowners?
The walk-through and the introduction are free. Trades on our list pay us a referral fee when you hire them, and your contract and payments are always directly with the tradesperson. If you want more, such as a review of competing bids or a second opinion on a change order, that is a flat fee agreed before we start.
What happens at the free walk-through?
We come to the house and look at the work with you, usually in under an hour. We explain what is involved, what it should roughly cost and which trade is right for it, then make an introduction. There is no obligation.
Can you review a contractor’s quote or change order?
Yes. We compare bids line by line and give written notes on scope, price and anything missing, and we give second opinions on quotes and change orders before you sign. These are flat-fee advisory services.
Are the contractors licensed and insured?
Yes. Every trade we introduce holds a current Westchester County home improvement license, Connecticut home improvement registration for Greenwich work, and current liability and workers’ compensation insurance.
What kinds of work do you help with?
Single trades and smaller projects: roofing, slate and copper, tile and stone, masonry and chimneys, painting, millwork and carpentry, windows and doors, drainage and waterproofing, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, and hardscape. For renovations and additions, our sister firm, Firsthand Projects, offers construction management.
Which towns do you serve?
Northern and southern Westchester County and Greenwich, Connecticut, including Pleasantville, Chappaqua, Armonk, Bedford, Katonah, Pound Ridge, Scarsdale, Bronxville, Rye, Larchmont, Rye Brook and Greenwich. Nearby and not listed? Ask anyway.
What if something goes wrong after the job is finished?
Call us. We follow up when every job finishes, and if something needs attention we get the trade back out. A trade’s place on our list depends on it.
